Puppy-Sitting This Week

Well, a very good friend is going out of town for a week.... so i'm going to be having a little visitor while she's a way. Her 9 week old male American Pit Bull Terrier, Jager, will be staying with me and my family. He's a cute little Brindle puppy with some White on his face. I'll post some pictures of him soon. He's such a little sweetheart, but he doesn't know quite what to think of my cats lol. Rio and Gordo are all excited, it was funny when I brought the puppy home with me last night, they were "Look, a new baby!" lol. They were trying to play with him, but I had to keep a really close on them.... because they are Great Danes, but they seem to forget their size, and tend to play a little too rough sometimes. They really seem to like him, though. It's been a while since i've had little puppies running around, so this will be an interesting week.

It'll be a lot of fun too!

Wow Jager is absolutely adorable!! Bet you're going to have a lot of fun looking after him and it's great that they are getting along together so well!

Everything is going wonderful! Jager is a really smart little guy, he's actually really laid back (very odd for a terrier lol), and he's already mostly housebroken. He's soooo cute, and fun. It's all good

Pit Bulls are one of my favorite breeds too. Actually, Jager is going to be needing a new home because my friend's mother won't allow her to keep him because of his breed. I find that really sad, especially since my friend is Jager's third home in his young life (he's only 9 weeks old). I'm trying to talk my mom into allowing me to adopt him, as I do not want to see him end up in the animal shelter. I also feel that my experience in training dogs would be of great help in raising Jager to be an awesome companion dog. My friend has had no luck trying to place him in a new home. Normally, my mom doesn't care if I get new dogs, foster them, ect. We live in the country, so there is plenty of room for all of the dogs. However, like all too many people out there, my mom simply does not like Pit Bulls because of their bad reputations. She wasn't pleased when she found of that I had agree to watch him for the week. I'm working on getting my mom too fall in love with cute little Jager as much as I have. I'm really hoping that she will give in, and let him stay.
