The boston terrier whine
Boston terriers have a very distinct whine. Here is Maggie showing hers.

I had her in my lap and her ball was on the ground so she was whining for it.

LOL So cute!

I love Bostons and Frenchies, but in all honesty, their bark is the one thing about them I can't stand. Maybe it is just a particular bark they use in the kennels, but there is a Frenchie that boards and he is a great guy, but his bark....he screams. And I mean SCREAMS. It sounds like a person yelling/screaming. It is so loud and so annoying. LOL The Bostons and Pugs do it too, so I know it has something to do with their short nose.

lol I don't really like pugs or frenchies either. Boston terriers do bark they do not scream. She only makes this sound when she really wants something. I agree it is annoying because a pug did it when I did flyball classes when it wasn't her turn. Maggie though rarely whines like this. IMO her bark is adorable! It's very soft like woof woof woof woof woof and she bounces on her front legs. lol
This isn't her but another boston but this is how she barks...Also just how she growls lol

LOL I do have to say I love how the Bostons and other short nosed breeds bark. Much easier on the ears than a Corgi.

But that screaming...that is awful. The first time I heard it I thought a.) there was a person in the building screaming and then b.) the dog was hurt.

LOL Exactly. Only when Brodie does it (that Frenchie in at work) it almost sounds like he is forming words along with it. Really annoying, really loud, and really creepy.
