We get a lot of raccoons on our deck, and there was a rabbit living in our backyard, but the dogs killed it, poor bunny! Oh, and squirrels, lots of squirrels!

Sentry, that's a great picture!

I live in very rural area. We have Skunks, Foxes, Bears, Moose, Racoons, Fisher Cats, Cougars, and Coyotes. Wolves are starting to come into New Hampshire from Canada too. It is neat to have wolves in New Hampshire. I do not mind snakes as long as they are not venomous. lol Lucky there is no venomous ones here.

The Fox in my Avatar is a picture one of my relatives took. Neat to see one on a picnic table.

We have a number of species of snake up here, including the Massassauga rattler, but I never see any of them except for garter snakes and even them, I haven't seen since I was a kid.
Do you know why California King Snakes are so popular in pet stores, are they just "friendly" snakes which are easy to keep? The one in the picture didn't get too nervous when I approached to take the picture, I mean he didn't stick around and pose but it's not like it turned to confront me or warn me like a rattler would. Just curious...
