Ummmmm...
So as many of you know, Drakie-poo was deemed pet quality and has since gone to his pet home. Thankfully I was given pick of the litter for my replacement, and I brought him home today! He's 9 weeks old and his name is Trice (after a famous former Iowa State University football coach... don't ask!)

Now, what is the story about Drakie poo? Is this a dog you were going to have and then didn't? Was it that you were looking for a show prospect? I didn't even know you were getting another Dobe. How exciting! Tell us more. Congrats! |

Carrie - basically Drake was a possible show prospect that we grew out to see if he'd cut it in the ring. I've been on a list for a show male for awhile, and my breeder happened to ask me if I wanted to grow out Drake and see if he'd work. Once he was deemed pet quality she asked me if I still wanted a show puppy, since I'd gotten used to having two dogs. I told her that a replacement would be nice, so I got Trice.
His dam is a fawn champion (and Eddie daughter) and his sire is an import - euro lines, bred in Scotland and shown in France, Holland, and the UK. He's now here in the States finishing up his American championship (just needs singles now, he's got his two majors - pretty good for an uncropped boy in the AKC ring!) |
