Ok everyone I am sooooo happy right now it isn't funny! We are going to be moving within the next month or so, and we are hoping for quite a big area. My moms friend is going to be giving us one of her llama's and I already picked out the one I want even though he's stubborn as a mule and I am getting angel back from my aunt! YAY! My boyfriend didn't come through with the money he said he was sending so my step dad is going to build the crate for me!.....wow the start of a new week and everything is going so awesome! we have adopted out some of our kittens and my mom is getting a purebred pursian that is registered with papers and everything! I think god works in odd ways we are starting the week out good, hoping it stays that way!

Sounds exciting. Llamas look so neat. Do you know what color your mom's Persian is? My first Persian cat was a silver tabby.. she was gorgeous. Like your mom's, she had her papers, came from quite the breeder. I've had other persians since, but all rescue cats.

They are stubborn as all heck but I like them I got to go round mine up yesterday and give him some attention, but he wouldn't budge from the spot I had caught him at and the only reason I got him is because I had some grain lol. He is a blue tort point very beautiful baby!

Oh, good for you! I love llamas. I want one to show in 4H and as a pet, but I don't think we good afford it at the moment. You know, building a fence and all of that. We definatlly have the space though! So ya, I hope everything goes smoothly!

Ritz they are fun they are just really really stubborn, I might show mine in 4-h, but I am not sure yet, he is very beautiful though. I am thinking about asking peg if I can come out and help her shave him when it gets warmer so i know what I am doing when I get him, I have also been doing quite a bit of research. I don't know if it's normal or not but these guys are really head shy they don't like you going around their face for some reason, although I have been told that they are very stubborn about alot of stuff. I am hoping we move somewhere where there is already a fence I think it would be alot easier. They are though very expensive animals and so I am going to have to get a job myself to help support him.

I am not going to let my parents support him all on there own because he is mine and they already help me support my dog so, I think that is enough. I am already looking for places to put in applications and everything. My mom thinks that it will be a good Idea also because my siblings can help out and learn responsibility, not to mention my little sister is already in love with him she thinks he is cool lol.


I hope that you can get one in the future it will be really fun I know you will like it. I also have a place to go horse back riding this summer now also! she has two horses smudge an appolusa (sp?) and another who is a race horse I'm not exactly sure what kind of horse he is. I will be learning how to ride better this summer on smudge and then maybe she will let me advance on and ride the other horse I forget his name lol. Smudge is preg. to she is do next may some time I am really looking forward to seeing her baby!

Anyhow sorry I made this so long I am really excited about this all, i guess maybe I should shut my yap now!

That's sounds awesome!!!!! Llamas are such awesome creatures!!!! Where I ride, the owner was thinking of purchasing one to keep out in the field with the miniature horses so they could stay out over nights when it was nice weather because they LOVE being outside but they're so extremely friendly and sociable that anyone could just walk off with them through the night so they must stay in the barn whereas if we had a Llama with them then the Llama would protect them (VERY territorial animals!). However she decided she didn't want to buy one and said she'd probably only get one if one came up for rescue.

That's greta that you're going to get to ride too! It's so much fun!!!!!! I'm guessing the race horse is either a Thoroughbred (the ones that race with someone riding on their back) or a Standardbred (race with someone in a cart they pull) although some people still do race Arabians and there are a few Quarter Horse races (they're known for their quick burst of speed so the race is a 1/4mile long, hence the name).

Thanks everyone, yes they are very territorial lol. I think he is a quater horse atleast thats what he looks like to me but I am not exactly sure.
