Sad but good news

I know I said that we were keeping her, but Jo-Jo the hare just does not look happy. Frankly I cannot blame her since she was a free hare and never knew what bars where till she met us She is a lil bigger now, starting to grow like a weed but still pretty wild too I would say.... We are planning on letting her go but in the park far away from where my hubby works and where we see alot of other hares. We don't want her getting trapped in the amulsion ( asphalt plant), she still has a lil bit of the asphalt stuck to her.... I would love to keep her but I look at her everyday and can't help but feel sorry for her... Either way it was nice to have her around for a bit, looking at her now and probably judging by her size she is probably a lil over 2 months..... We are planning on letting her free this weekend, finally talked my daughter into it on one deal that she gets a bunny... Guess thats not to bad of a deal only took a bit..... In the long run they will both be happy and that is the main thing....

Just thought I would give an update on how things are, no we are not bored of her at all... We just think she will be much happier and Iam sure you people will all agree....

Awww...it's sad you couldn't keep her but it's much better for her to be in the wild. And early congrats on your soon to be new addition. Don't forget to post piccies of the new bunny when you get it.

Cass.

Hey, it's a good deal both ways, even if you will be having to give her up. Your daughter still gets something to tend to, and the hare gets to be back in the wild. I honestly think you are doing the right thing.

Winged is so right, it really is the best of both worlds and I hope Jo-Jo does very well.

I'm glad you've chosen to do that. It's sad to see a wild animal, stuck in a cage. She'll be thanking you no doubt, for letting her be free. That's very nice of you.

Thank you all

We took her to the park and my daughter placed her on the grass, we all petted her and well my son decided to get up and she stood up and started to bounce away. She never ran off fast but just bounced away. It was nice to see her free and bouncing and boy can they move. Kinda wish I took more pics, hubby said we should of tagged her with some dye lol but Iam sure she will be fine... We tried to find her as we were leaving but couldn't see her so that was good... My daughter was upset but her lil bunny is suppose to come on friday between 8-9am, she's getting a dwarf mini rex. Not sure if it is a male or female and the bunny will be brown and white and it will stay small... She's happy because she wanted the one with the velvet type fur, they are so soft. I like them too but I adore the fuzzy lop eared ones lol now she will have one she can cuddle.... The cage has been all disenfected and ready for the new arrival... Now just for her to pick another name...
