UN-happy reunion

We, we are back in Ny now. And unfortunatly, Demon and Kaiyah want nothing to do with each other. we have been trying unsucessfully for two weeks to reunite them. They're not having it. All that they do is bark, growl, and snap at each other. i thought they would be happy to see each other. i can't have them fighting with my son around. So, Demon is going to continue to stay with my grandparents. It's kind of a good thing. My grandfather has grown quite attached to him and they've become really close. i think it would do more harm than good if I took Demon away from him. I would not and will not put the responsibility on my grandparents just becasue he does not live with me. i will continue to care for him ( bathing, brushing, the vet, etc.) , and buy his food. I guess in a way, he's still partly mine. And Kaiyah can go back to hogging the bed and being the only dog in the house. LOL.

I'm sorry to hear that things did not go as planned. If I read correctly in the other thread, they are littermates that have been separated for some time?!

Their behavior sounds pretty average for that type of situation. With littermates it could take months or never really happen at all. They have a very strong desire to dominate one another and set up a hierarchy, and neither one of them are ready to concede/submit.

Unhappy Wish I had more to offer you right now

Sometimes, a situation is not something that can be helped through advice in this forum. You may need a hands-on trainer. I'm sorry I can't offer you more. Anything I can offer you personally, would be inappropriate, unless I witnessed the situation first hand.

I'm sorry I can't do more.

Please, keep us posted!
