Just for fun

Since I have gotten Shelby, I have always wondered what breeds she comes from and the shelter had no idea. (They were even off on her age by over 6 months at least) I was wondering if anyone here wanted to venture a guess? I see traits from German Shepherd (color), Whippet (Size, body, muscle structure, and ears), Doberman (Muscle structure and unique coloration pattern), Pharaoh Hound (I can see her skin "blush" at different times, body structure, and personality). She is around 35 lbs and stands about 18" at her shoulder. She loves to run, and never seems to get tired. Her top speed is way up there, and her running often reminds me of a greyhound in appearance. (Her ears straight back, and she will often run with her tail and backside kind of down compared to the rest of her body) She can stop and turn on a dime from full sprint. She has taken to water like a fish, and loves to retrieve from both water and land. She learns things faster then any dog I have seen, but she does not seem to have a very good memory, at least for people she interacts with. She is good around all people, but is nervous around large men that she does not know. If you do not spoil her rotten, then she will not fully trust you no matter how long you know her. If you give her a reason to dislike you she will be on you like white on rice, barking like crazy until you leave “her” place. She is great with other dogs, and just loves to run and play with them, but if she is not allowed to meet other dogs walking by she can go a little nuts. Other animals and scents very easily distract her, and even in the middle of retrieving she will stop and sniff something. She is a mild shedder, and her hair is short and flat, not soft. At around 2yrs she still acts like a big puppy, and is attached at my hip. She is very protective of my girlfriend and me.

Sorry for the long post, and there are pictures of her in my pictures section. I will post a few more once I get my hands on them. Thanks for the input.
