Another Little One

Winston's breeder called me. Last week they'd found a pug puppy running down the middle of a rural dirt road in a rather sparsely populate area east of town. In the boonies you might say. Near a highway. The pup was scared, runs off the road, under some trailer. Eventually they caught her. They called the animal shelter, the police, the local vets.. no one has reported a pug puppy missing. They didn't want to keep this pup, so called and asked if I'd pick her up. She's a livewire.. I'm thinking like 4-5 months old. Where she is found is populated by coyotes.. EVERYWHERE. She's very lucky. That is also near where they found dead dogs killed in 'sacrifices'... including a young male pug owned by a lady I have met at my pug parties. She seems healthy and active. If she remains unclaimed, I will spay, vaccinate and microchip her. If I don't keep her, I will hunt for the PERFECT owner for her. We'll just see.. may still get a call from her owner.. and they had better have a darn good excuse for losing this one, and not calling shelters, vets etc to try and find her. Here she is:

LOL the above one.. she is hanging off Winston's cheek.

She's soooo cute!!! Awwww... pop her in a post pak and send her down here to me. Hehehehehehe!! How could anyone lose her and not want to find her??? That boggles my mind.
At least Winston, Raisin & Oscar seem to have taken to her quite well.

Cass.

What a little doll! She is soooo very lucky to even be alive right now and I can't think of better hands for her to be in than with you Marnie.

I think even if her owners did wiggle out of the woodwork I'd be hard pressed to return her without a VERY good reason like they were out of the state or died and came back to life to claim her.

I don't think there IS an excuse, good or bad for letting a puppy like that get into such a situation.

I hope you can either keep her or find a great family for her. I can't think of a better, more caring owner than you. But I am guessing that you're beginning to get your hands full. (or are you? LOL.) She is tooooo adorable...and very, very lucky you found her. What will you name her? Keep us posted, anyhow. Good luck.

Beyond me how someone hasnt been screaming the place down at losing her.

If one of my girls ever got lost I would call out the national guard.

She sure is a lucky girl to have landed with you

Thank you all. If she remains unclaimed, I want my mother to have her. Mom adores her and will pamper her in the way that she should be. She takes her role as "grandmother" to my pugs quite seriously. Currently I am living with my folks due to my dad's health and also my mother. So yup, that would make it a 5 pug household. They are all doing very well though. Pugs, in general, seem to just LOVE other pugs.

Four pugs is my limit. Yes, yes it is, four pugs is my limit... (chanting to myself ROFL). BUT I would of course be like a doting aunt, buying her all kinds of goodies, dressing her up... LOL

I am hoping though, to be honest, that she is not claimed, because it would be very unsettling to return a pug pup to owners that, for whatever reason, let her wander in such a dangerous area, and waited DAYS to bother contacting anyone.
