Scarey Wal-mart trip! (Crazy Guy)

I went with my friend to Wal-mart and we were leaving. Some guy was sitting in his car talking to a person outside holding up traffic. So she beeped at him. He drove around and as we were pulling out into a left turn lane he sped towards us. I SWORE he was gonna hit us. He came up fast enough to make me and her both sheild ourselves with our hands. So he starts screaming at us not to yell at him, calling us fat *******, ********, etc. She keeps saying "yeah, ok" and he says "don't mess with me or I'll bash your face in" so she says "yeah ok, just keep driving" he says "WHAT?" all offended and opens his car door (at which point I almost have a heart attack) and comes over to our car, keep in mind we can't drive anywhere because there are cars coming. He proceeds to kick her side mirror on my side like 5 or 6 times. Then he gets back into his car and backs up so we can't get his plates. Luckilly there was an off-duty cop nearby who saw the whole thing and got the plate #.

We waited around almost 2 hours for the cops to come, they ended up not being able to do much anyway, but it was one of the scariest things ever. I thought he was gonna rip me out of the passenger window (which was down) and beat me up.

Ugh, people are such idiots.

PS - I cut 2 fingers while wiping the glass peices off of my lap from him busting her mirror.

Good grief! Talk about someone in desperate need of some anger management! Better yet send him over this way to try and pull that junk, ohhhh do I love people in need of an attitude adjustment and wouldn't he be surprised in the end. lol

Seriously, I'm glad your both ok and it was only the car that he took out his anger on. Did the police say wether the plate returned and if so does your friend plan on going to the prosecutors office to file formal charges?

The plates were on the wrong car and the description came back different than the guy who was driving. So they are going to try, but can't do much.

OMG How scary. If the cop saw all this, why can't they do anything? He assaulted you and damaged property! Ugggg. I'm so glad you're OK.

I went fishing yesterday and we're talking about a 23,700 acre lake with probably no more than 20 boats out there that we passed. We happened to be trolling along and we were about 200 yards from some other boat. And that guy started screaming, gesturing at us and cussing to get away from him. He was having trouble with his fish. It swam and was caught under his boat and he was going balistic, blaming us...absolutely wild and frenzied. Good heavens! What a psychotic maniac! There out there.

Well, I hope they do something about that guy who broke your mirrors and assaulted you!

Isn't this just par for the course. People like this don't exactly follow the rules and what are you gonna do?

I'm so sorry this happened. It may look like Law Enforcement is going tohave a hard time tracking him down, but you know what. These types of people weren't born with alot of brains, and he'll slip up. Probably brag about it next time he goes to jail for something else, and then they'll have 'em.
If you can remember anything specific about the vehicle, Make, Model, Color, bumper stickers, dents, etc. that can all be helpful. Same with the guy. Race, age, clothing, tattoos, scars, specific way of speaking, etc.
It's not like it was a bank robbery, and sometimes these things never get solved. But if you write all these things down now, and anything you remember later, you just never know. Heck, he probably shops at Wal-mart every week. You may see him again someday. And then you'll have 'em.

LOL, you know, watching people go off the deep end can be hilarious, but, the thing is, people are so unpredictable now days, you just never know what people are capable of. In my parent's day, something like this would have been funny, and everyone would have met later to laugh about it, but now, no one knows each other, and the people that should definitely not carry a weapon, do. It's crazy.

We gave the description of the car, it was a black honda. The guy was a black male, about 25 - 30. We gave the officer everything we had, his clothes, his gold teeth *rolls eyes*, his hair, but since the description didn't match the person who the car is registered to, he couldn't DL a picture to show us. So I guess it goes with nothing done. *sigh*

My friend just bought her car the day before too. And now she has to pay for the mirror replacement out of her own pocket.

What about insurance? And why isn't the police questioning the owner of the car as to who was driving the car. And, because I watch so much Judge Judy- please no comments - I know that the person responsible is the owner of the car. If that person isn't giving up the info as to who was driving, or if they want to persue that person, it's on them. Right? What am I missing here with that police department? I would def. tell your friend to push this more with the police. I'm also surprised that her insurance company isn't going a bit bolistic with this.

Seems a little odd to me... In any event, I'm just glad you both weren't harmed.

I think the only sensible thing you could have done is to drive over him. Chances are he had ID in his pocket, then you could sue his estate.

...and I know its hard to believe but sometimes police just don't care about catching the criminal. I had a guy pull a gun on me in traffic and chase me around town. I knew who he was (it wasn't traffic related)and had two witnesses in the car with me. I went directly to the police department ( he turned off when he saw where I was going) The cop at the desk told me there was nothing he could do because it was his word against mine. I was 22-23 at the time and I guess he just figured I was just some young punk and he didn't care.
