So, 3 months ago, I shipped 2 packages with FedEx. It came to a total of $28.95...
Now, my debit card was rejected...I had money in my account...so I have no idea why...but when I first set up my account on fedex.com, they took out $30...it was a glitch, and I got my money back at the speed of a snail. So, they're is a history of glitches in the fedex system. So, I got 2 invoices from Fedex...both for the original amount of the package, plus sur-charges for rejected credit card...so, now its almost double the original amount. So, I called up fedex...and after a half hour with an uppidy young woman who was under the impression that I was some slime...and, they don't want to take off the surcharges...even though its not my fault. So, I told them that I WILL NOT PAY, unless they take off the surcharges...so, I say GO UPS, GO DHL, GO USPS...NO FEDEX! NO FEDEX!! Now, they want to take me to small claims court...what can I do? Nothing. |

OY! You guys are making me nervous. I am waiting for my new chinchilla cage to come by fed-ex. It was supposed to arrive yesterday and everytime I try to track the package it says it was in Harrisberg, PA on Jul 29th but I get no info after that. I have always used Fed-ex since I work for an airline and I get awsome discounts. The last cage I ordered on line was sent by UPS and it was all broken during shipping. I had to order new parts from the company and they sent it UPS again and again I recieved broken parts. The third time the company shipped it everything was fine but it took almost 1 1/2 months to get the whole cage! I hope it comes today but of course it's raining today and I have to go to work. I hate when they can't leave it at the door and I have to go pick things up!

Hmm. So they'd take you to court over, say, $50?
Aside from that, the fedex WORKERS are the guys that I can't stand. They come up to my door, ring the doorbell INCESSANTLY, (Once is fine, thank you very much. ) and then kick at my dogs, who are still respectfully sniffing at him from inside the house. Plus, I ordered 2 dog crates for my friend's chihuahuas, and they shipped through Fedex, and they arrived about about a week later than they were supposed to... ("Usually ships within 1-2 working days" my butt! ) UPS, on the other hand, isn't ALL that much better.. Maybe I'm over-protective of my stuff. I bought some rare wild african fish online, and "LIVE FISH, DO NOT DROP" was written all over the box, and what did the delivery dude do? Why, he dropped it, of course. The fish were fine, but I was sooo mad... hehe.. I bet that guy cringes every time he has to deliver something to our (mad)house. |

haha Rips girl, we have stuff form UPS delivered here ALL the time...very rarley does Red Ex come, when they do luckly no ones ever home.
Im usually home when they come, I work mornings so afternoon I am home with all three dogs. When UPS comes. He can step on our bottom step and they all freak out. he never has to ring the bell...that we dont have...UPS isnt too bad... my bad incident with Fed Ex...my laptop's back light broke, I got in a month long fight with Staples (that I wont get into here) when they fianlly said well well send you a box to send it back to us. So I package it, take tons of pics of the comp and the box before I send it. Staples fixes it and sends it back Fed Ex...the box is all screwed up. There are holes that go through the styrofoam and you can see the laptop, its all dented, and had been opened then reclosed...and parts were missing!!! the basic laptop was there but a cap from the back of it was gone as well as a disk...two companies right there I refuse to ever use again. Staples and Fed Ex... |

Yeah, I suppose.. H'm.
My parents are doing something similar to your situation, Q.W. but instead it's with a store, and $200 in fees because Mervyn's sent it to the WRONG address over and over again, and obviously never bothered to enter our "moving" info. into their computer. ![]() |

I'd tell them Quincy, that you will be writing to the Better Business Bureau and your (biggest) newspaper. You will be explaining how Fed Ex does not honor their customers. (remember, customer always right) They misused your credit card, over charged and are threatening you. Eh-hem..... That just might get their attention.
When you send the amount that you actually owe, put on the back of the check, "endorser of this check acknowledges payment in full and releases all lien on payor." (That's what I'd do anyway) Tell us how it all turns out. Carrie |
