Hey All!
I'm in Maryland right now with my sister Lennea and my Mom. We'll be going to Chincoteague and then my dad is coming in and we're going to Virginia to visit my oldest sister, her husband, and her rabbit.
So far Maryland seems nice, but very polluted. Gaddy and The Girls |

Chincoteague? They have the wild ponies there, don't they? (Ok - I guess it's on Assateague that they have the wild ponies, but they do still hold Pony Penning Day, right?) If so, I'd love to go and see a little bit of history. Have you seen any of the ancestors of those shipwrecked ponies from the Spanish Galleon? (Made famous by Marguerite Henry and her "Misty" books). Sounds like fun to me!

Chincoteague was great. It's mainly a tourist town now, with a bunch of t-shirt shops and such. We only saw a few ponies....we were driving and saw four or five grazing with a little colt. I got a ton of pics, as soon as I figure out how to connect my digital to the puter I'll show ya'll.
Assateague is where the ponies live, Chincoteague is where they bring them. Jackie (my oldest sister) went to Assateague and said the ponies "aren't so wild" anymore. They come right up to you because people always feed them. I still want to go there, though....I think it would be amazing to see them. |

I'm happy to hear you got to see some ponies! It's too bad they aren't quite as wild anymore, but I guess it probably makes it a little easier on them during Pony Penning Day.

It sounds like you're having a good visit. I remember those stories about the ponies there. How neat! I can't wait for pictures either. Have fun!

Hope you're having fun Gaddy! Where are you staying? Anything remotely near Baltimore is pretty icky. Bel Air is less icky... I guess. That's why I lived out in the middle of nowhere, lol. I'd get asked where I lived and then get a "Where?!?" Yeah, so what if the closest grocery store is a shocking 15 minutes away.

Did you go to the Inner Harbor at all? It is still kinda gross, but very fun.
The national aquarium is pretty neat. Then there's the Science Center, Port Discovery, stuff like that for the little kids. The Power Plant (with ESPN Zone! My favorite! ) There are tons of restaurants- Hard Rock Cafe, Cheesecake Factory, Phillip's, Uno's, I think Planet Hollywood may be gone, not sure. Oo oo! I think there is a Fuddruckers! I love that place too. ![]() Okay, enough. I sound like I'm trying to book someone's travel plans, lol. |

Nope, we just stayed in Maryland for about two days and then we went to Chincoteague. After we visited Chincoteague we went to Washington D.C. to visit my sister.
