Hi Carrie! Hi RBW!

Well, I sort of never left really. Just have been busy and tied up in a few different things. Even then, I did pop by just to see how you all were doing while you didn't know I was around.

Tomorrow I'm shooting in our country's largest annual archery tournaments and no, it's only punching paper!

Popped in to say Hi without actually saying hi if you know what I mean.

Also, these days I find myself rather 'quite' so I figured I'd keep my trap shut instead of saying something innane or something that would really reveal the true value of the non-existance of any intellectual substance!

Carrie, don't forget to pack your bf's 44. Wouldn;t mind some black bear steak if one of them feelsw so inclined to visit you for dinner! LOL!

Don't worry about saying something innane. We're all full of that sometimes....this is just for fun so hope you'll be around more.

Good luck in your tournament. Let us know how it all goes.

Bf did get a bear a while ago. It's in his freezer. I actually liked that meat...wasn't gamey or anything and lean. Bear season opens again in Oct. for a short time. At that time, the bears can taste quite different after eating different things during the summer and they're usually fatter. He actually shot that one on his own property, right off his porch. To me, that's not real hunting...kind of bugs me. I'm not against hunting, but I sure couldn't do it myself. Actually, in most places, hunting is necessary to prevent over population of some animals, sickness and starvation. But here, the balance of nature is still intact. I actually never ate game before I lived here. It's really good, lean and no preservatives and antibiotics and crap in it. He was trying to get me interested in going hunting with him.....so far, no luck. But I do like fishing. We're going Saturday.

Carrie you could always do what I used to do with my uncle, I'd shoot with my camera then he'd shoot with his rifle

I could never bring myself to shoot at anything more than a target with any gun I've handled - which I suppose is a good thing.

I gotta agree with you though, black bear's soooooooo yummy!!!!!
