Dogs on Furnature. Yes or No?

Just wondered what everyone's position was on allowing their dogs on furnature.

I do not allow Kota on our bed because the matress is new. However I do allow her on our coutch.

Well....me being 15 I do allow my dogs on the furniture. but my mother prefers them off the furniture, especially on the new couches. I think I'll start training Kobe to stay off the couches since it bothers my mom so much. So basically, my answer is a "sure!" while my mother's is a "Uh..no." Lol. Not much help huh?

My 3 GSD's stay on the floor and anyone who wants to sit or lay on the floor with them are welcome.
They sleep in the bedroom but have never attempted to get on the bed.

I have always allowed my dogs on the furniture, after all if I can sit on it they can too. How else can I snuggle with them unless I sit on the floor which I'm not about to do?

They are allowed on the bed and used to be allowed on the couch, but we just got a new couch and do not let them on it. I like to have ONE place I can sit without getting multi-colored fur all over me.

Dogs have always been allowed on the furnature. There is only one time in my 15 years that I can remember one of my dogs not being allowed to be on the furnature, and that is because we were living with my grandparents.

They are allowed on the bed (sleep there at night) and they are allowed on the couch, but only if invited. They are new couches and we want to put down the blanket under them first before they get up there, hence the need for the invitation

they are allowed on all the furniture they want. bowie prefers to lay on the leather couch when the AC is on, but also likes the other couch or the chair. mya only comes up when invited for the most part, unless she feels insecure.

both sleep in bed and can come and go from bed as they please.

they are allowed anywhere as long as they follow rules, the minute rules are broken furniture privilege is the first to go (ok fo rbowie, mya would never challenge the rules)

All the dogs here are allowed on the furniture.. couches, chairs, beds etc. The pugs all sleep with me at night in bed. I would not have it any other way.

The dogs are allowed just about anywhere we go, with basic manners, no counter surfing, no table surfing, etc. They are allowed on beds, chairs, and couches, although our couch is leather. Their nails don't scratch it as much as I thought they would, and it's actually easier to keep clean then if it were fabric.
We are thinking of investing in a new livingroom set, and then it may be open for discussion if they are allowed on that, but, one of their favorite things to do is sit on the couch with their head on the back and stare outside. It's also their lookout post for strange motorized vehicles coming down the driveway. I couldn't take that away from them!

my dogs are both allowed in bed (under the covers) and on the couch. They are both ridgebacks and have that super short hair so their is minimal dirt and shedding.

Whenever Blackie and Rose come inside, they are allowed on the couch and my bed. They've never tried to get on the chairs (and my mom doesn't want them on there anyway), and they are NOT allowed on anyone's bed except mine.
They always sit on the couch with us. I'll just sit there watching a movie, and they will lay right by me with there heads in my lap. It is so cute. Well, untill my mom kicks me off so she can sit with them. lol
They are also allowed on our porch swing, and Blackie will just sit up there and swing with us.

Jesse is allowed on the furniature but he only ever lays on our 3 seater couch upstairs, he prefers his own beds, cushions and pillows that we have in each room. In his bedroom (yes he has a whole room to sleep in LOL...perhaps we could call it a giant sized crate!) he has a couch all to himself which he sleeps on and a small childs chair which he also loves.

Past dogs haven't been allowed on furniture because of my parents, but future dogs will be allowed anywhere except my bed (I just don't like it...nothing against it, it's just me ).

Cass.

My dogs are allowed on the furniture. They use the couches and bed for sleeping and lounging. I have blankets covering the couches for protection. Maybe it's not the prettiest look, but it means they can cuddle with me and eachother.

They are not allowed on the couches at my parents' house (whom we visit every so often). With the exception of the guest bed. They know this rule and respect it like good dogs.
