Bike, Bike Trailer, Pug Pics LOL

Yesterday I decided to majorly splurge and buy myself a new mtn bike.. I LOVE biking, and my old bike was due for retirement. My new one is a Specialized Rockhopper, bought from an awesome bike store here in town. Anyhow, I also have a bike trailer, bought specifically for Oscar, my older, slower pug that can't enjoy really long walks like my other guys. Oscar adores the trailer, when I'm peddling away and I look back, I swear that pug is smiling LOL! His harness can connect to the seatbelts for safety. Also that hitch is flexible. If my bike falls over, the trailer stays in place.
Emma was very curious about it, and hopped in when I was taking pictures. BTW she was spayed on Tuesday and is doing GREAT.

Also.. for anyone that cannot or does not drive.. this might be an option. My mother bought one on Friday. She does not drive, and was getting tired of asking for a ride, and wanted more independence.. this bike has a motor, that is charged by plugging it in. You can peddle, or you can use the motor if you get tired, or you can rely solely on the motor. One charge is good for 16 miles @ 8 mph. It's neat, and has suprising power.. I tried it, it's fun to ride.

OMG!!!! That is a scream. Oscar looks so content. What a neat bike! Or trike, tryke, tryce???? That motor is the coolest idea and what a great design that the cart won't tip over if you do, but be careful. That wouldn't be fun to fall. I've been in the hospital 3 times with serious injuries from falling off a bike when I was younger. I no longer get on one. LOL. Never a serious injury with my horses... from falling anyhow, but bikes...I stay away from. The three wheels ought to help. LOL. I love your pictures.

Glad Emma is doing well.

I love how certain equipment enables older, disabled, or lazier dogs to not be left behind.
We bought a babyjogger a while ago for Waldo, when he was still with us. He was incapable of tagging along on hikes and runs, but the babyjogger solved that issue. I knew he was happy to just be with us. Sometimes, during a long run, he would just curl up in his jogger and sleep.

I bet Oscar loves his new wheels!

A-w-w-w-w....that is sooo cute of Waldo. Sorry he's not with you anymore. I know how the dogs absolutley love their walks and it's so nice to be able to take them for an outing if they're no longer able to go for very far. Cute pics.

I've done a LOT of biking over the years.. I've had my share of spills. LOL I'm pretty careful these days. I'm a little older, a little more.. mature? wise? than I was back when my wrecks were more common LOL And you bet your bippy when I'm pulling a pug that I take it easy. Smooth roads for the pugs.. no off-roading!

Mellie ~ that looked perfect for your pooch...that's awesome! Does that convert to a trailer or is it just a stroller? I use mine as both.. stroller and trailer. Bought a conversion kit for it. Pretty nifty!

aaaaw what a great idea
that thought never occured to me since I'm still in the stage where my dog could go all day long and it's ME who might like to hitch a ride in a nice comfy stroller!

Nice bike , and I love the trailer it's awesome. Glad my little Jesse isn't looking at the screen right now though. I'm sure, when we're on a walk, he's imagining me on foot pulling a cart like that with him in the back sitting like a king. These little dogs and their superiority complexes, I tell ya!

I love the motorised bike too, what a great idea.

Emma looks adorable, by the way and I'm glad she's feeling well after her spay.

Cass.
