I'm Home!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know I am home...already!! Thank you to everyone with their kind words and thoughts that knew I was having surgery last week. I had it on Thursday, the Dr. said everything was great. They let me go Saturday and I was actually surprised that they let me out that early. The Dr. said he used polymer cages in my spine instead of the titanium. It has been hard and painful but honestly, it wasnt as bad as what I imagined. I was so happy to come home and see my babies. They were very well cared for while I was gone and were not quite as excited to see me as I thought they would be. I was kind of hurt at first but then I realized they must have been cared for well if they were not going crazy when I got back. I'm just glad I'm home!!

I'm glad your surgery went well!

I have no doubt your babies are thrilled that you are home. I remember about 3 years ago when I had surgery when I came home my 2 were quite low-keyed when they are normally bouncing all over when I come home after even a 5 minute absence. They were actually on their best behavior for the next few weeks. I think they are actually more intuitive than we give them credit for sometimes & realized that I was hurting and wouldn't have been able to withstand their normal greeting.

Welcome back and so glad everything is going alone OK. That must have been worrying.

I was thinking the same thing that Poodlesmom said...your dogs sensed that you weren't well and they stayed low key to give you some space. I've seen this with my own dogs in the past and I really think they know they need to tread quietly to help you out.

Get well soon.
