Alright, let's get a NorthWestern meeting together!

Okay, for all of you who live in Northwest America, I think we should get together. I am in Bellingham, WA...which is almost the corner of the country...I would love to see fellow Washington State people get together for a day or so.

How about it?

That sounds so fun Emily.

Quincy...I'm still wanting to do that too. I think RBW, Barrett and a few others do too probably, if we can get it together. I'm planning a visit from Idaho to Seattle sometime in Sept to see my kids. If it's possible that everyone can get their schedules coordinated, that would be cool, a very tricky thing....but cool.

LOL, Carrie I'm driving through Northern Idaho in September! I think we drive near your town, don't you live near Sandpoint? I'm going to Montana for two weeks from Sept 5th through the 18th. When are you planning on coming over to Seattle? I want to have a meetup really bad! There is a huge on leash dog park near me for an idea of a meetup place. We could try the beaches too if they are not too crowded. I really want to see Whidbey Island. Are there any places in Whidbey to play? QW, are there any cool places in Bellingham? I have never been there before either. It's time for Barrett to go sightseeing!

Barrett, are you going on hwy 2? When you get to the town of Priest River, (about 1/2 hour before you get to Sandpoint) take a left at the only stop light (hwy 57) and go for 30 miles. I'd love it if you took 1/2 a day to come see me.

I haven't really solidified my dates. But it could be that it would be inside that time frame when you're gone....haven't figured it out yet. Grrrrrr.

Where in Montana are you going? That should be fun...what a pretty state....the west side at any rate. That's where I got Lyric....in Stevensville.

Hi everyone!

I'm so glad to hear that Fireworksinjuly and Flyndog got together! It sounds like you had a good time!

My schedule is flexible. I can even put together some overnight lodging if anyone comes to the Island. But, I can travel to Seattle, too. Bellingham, would be a little bit harder for me, due to my car situation. Otherwise, I would have driven up to Bellingham and brought Quincy down for a visit already!

Well, if we keep kickin' ideas around, I'm sure we'll come up with something! I'd really like to meet you guys!

Is there a bus that goes to Whidbey from Bellingham, do you know?

We go camping on the Thompson chain of lakes. The last one is Little Loon Lake. This is a tiny little lake with only one camping spot on it. If we are lucky enough to get the one camp spot we are alone in the woods with our own lake for two wonderful weeks. The dogs can run free. We bring a 3 person canoe so my husband and I can paddle and the dogs sit in the middle.
Carrie, let me know when you are going to leave. If you come over to Seattle before we leave for Montana then we'll get together...and if we leave for Montana before you leave for Seattle we'll visit you in Idaho....boy is that confusing or WHAT!!! ROFLOL!!!!!!!!

I live in Southwest Washington, on the Columbia River.. It'd be great to get all of us together. I'll be up in Port Hadlock, which is south of Port Townsend, on Thursday and will be there until Saturday.. If anyone is in the area, perhaps we can meet up and go have lunch or something. Sadly, I won't have Mazie with me.. It's a 227 mile drive from my house to my friend's townhouse in P.H. and pets aren't allowed... so she's gonna stay with my parents. If anyone is going to be in the area, let me know and we can plan. I'm leaving very early Thursday morning, so tomorrow is my last day to check the forum.. Hope we can work something out!

Dang it Barrett!!!! I'm thinking of going for my birthday which is the 4th and staying for about a week. I could stay longer if I want, as I'm retired. But we might miss eachother in our travels. DANG, DANG, DANG!!! If you could leave the 3rd, that would be awesome or maybe I'll just leave after my b-day.

That camping place sounds soooooo nice....all to yourself. What a beautiful spot that must be...and canoeing with the dogs. What a peaceful scene that is.

We drive our old little motorhome to Montana. Top speed is about 55mph! LOL. It takes us almost 14 hours to get there with the potty and exercise breaks for the dogs. We leave at 4:00 in the morning and usually drive straight through until about 6 at night.. I just found out we have to leave on the 5th now because my husband's family is throwing my own Birthday party on the 4th. LOL! My birthday is the 29th of August but they want to get together on the 4th, before we leave for two weeks. Dang it! I guess we are going to miss each other again! If you stay longer than a week and are still going to be in Washington after the 16th or 17th maybe we can get together in Alki and go for a walk on the beach with the pups. I hope everyone else can get together while I'm gone......Dang it!!!!!! Does everyone have weekends off?? Maybe I could talk DH into leaving later and we could all hang out in the middle of the week. He gets home tonight and I'll beg and plead....or use my bedroom eyes.....LOL That would probably work better. LOL!!!!!!!
