Hehe, it sounds like a LOT of fun. I worked at a groomer's for a few weeks one summer in Nevada, when I was living at my grandpa's house, so I can wash, dry and brush a dog until it turns into a big shiny ball of fluff, LOL. I'm sure there's stuff out there that I can do.. And hopefully if I can raise 3/4 of the money, maybe my parents will be kind enough to pitch in the rest..

maybe a local groomer needs a "shop hand" cleaning up hair and putting bow ties on them

Lil Paws, if you give me your recipie for that smelly good stuff, I'd be much obliged. I could use that all year round. Yes indeed, we do seem to like to do some of the same things, although lately, I've gotten lazier about it, especially last X-mas. I didn't even put up a tree. Lyric was brand new and a total lunatic. It wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes.
Barrett, your job DOES sound very interesting and you must be extremely capable. That is quite an accomplishment. "You could even get the dogs to make arts and crafts for their parents by using washable finger paints" I love your idea....little paw prints. Or you could make those kind in the plaster that we use to do with kids.....glaze and fire them in a kiln. (I think) Rips girl....about the lawn in Arizona. I have been to Arizona many times and some people did have small lawns...took a lot of water to keep nice. However, I know what you mean....mostly desert. I even forgot that you would be going there. I was picturing Idaho. LOL! And how could I forget about mowing lawn? I have to do mine twice a week and it's a LOT of lawn! As much as I love puttering in the garden, when the snow starts falling, it's kind of a relief in a way. But then I start complaining about shovelling snow. LOL! What can I say? Carrie " |

LOL yeah.. I have seen small lawns, but nothing that I could really get paid for... Most of the lawns where I live are like 10'x10' and can be finished in about 5 minutes or so.
There is a lady there that will be having surgery all the way in Chicago, I could offer to watch her Papillon & cat and maintain the house in the month or so that she's gone.... |

My sister works at a local animal shelter cleaning cages and tending to the animals and processing adoptions. She's been doing it for awhile a really likes it. This shelter also employs people to walk the dogs that are awaiting adoption.
