Cozy's Patella Surgery

Cozy has stage 3 luxating patellas. She underwent surgery yesterday to one knee. She is back with us today and doing well...sleeping and feeling generally yucky. She ate a little food this morning. We'll stay here in today and make long car ride back home (a 10 hour drive) tomorrow. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

Aww poor Cozy. I didn't know she was having surgery. I've been really busy lately and just now getting around to catching up. But,I'm glad to hear all went well. (((hugs))) to Cozy. I'll keep her in my prayers.

I don't envy the 10hr drive back though.

Are you back home now and how did the trip go? I'm glad the surgery is over for Cozy! I hope you can both relax and get some R & R. Cozy is in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery!

We are home now and Cozy's doing fine. She is mostly resting, but will get up to relieve herself and follow me into the kitchen for something to eat. She only takes a few steps at a time. I resisted picking her up today, although it kills me not to. No complications from the pain meds. I'll take her into her vet tomorrow. He wants to look at the sutures and see what medication she's on. He likes to see how other vets do things.
Looks like we'll do it all again - to the other knee the Monday after Thanksgiving. Poor girl.
