New Signature Rules

A sticky has been posted in the Announcements forum -> http://www.globalpaw.com/thread7100.html since the 17th of August (2005), regarding the new signature rules. For all those who haven't read it, please go and read it now.

If your signature doesn't comply with the rules, change it immediately or moderators will remove it.

Sorry for the abrupt post but this announcement has been up long enough for everyone to read it, yet very few have bothered.

Please take the time from now on to read any announcements that are posted in that forum. They are posted there for all members to read.

I just switched mine to a smaller size...couldn't figure out how to do it at first and wasn't sure if it was small enough already. Please let me know if this new one is of acceptable size!

That is perfect Mom2Many. It is currently 400 x 120, well within the limits. It is beautiful!!!

It going to be difficult to change mine becoz it looks weird made into 500x200, mainly due to the shape and layout. But i suppose im going to have to change it anyway, eventhough it ruining Tommys tribute pic

The size doesn't have to be exactly 500x200. As long as it's no larger than those dimensions.
I know this new rule seems harsh, but it's been put in place for a good reason. Some signatures are just WAY too big and not only take up too much room but can take a long time to load for people with dial-up (and yes there are many who still have it and will have it for a long time to come).

Sorry if it ruins your picture, that was never the intention, but you can always make a new one.

For everyone struggling with changing the size of your image....try using the 'constrain proportions' in the image size area in your graphics program.

If you can't do that, don't have a graphics program or just don't know how. I'd be happy to change it for you. Just PM me and I'll do it.

hehe its fine, ive made it smaller; Tommys face hads kinda gone a bit blurred lol, not brill but it'll do. Yea I know what you mean about large siggys taking up loads of space.
Thanks for posting this under 'the global paw' coz i'd never have known about the new rule otherwise

your sig with the new dimensions still looks gorgeous. Unless you told someone, I don't think they'd ever notice. It's beautiful, and a lovely tribute!

gaddylovesdogs, your sig is currently 589 x 67. The rule asks for nothing more than 500 pixels wide.

Just in case there are people who haven't bothered to follow the link to read the rule.

The rule also asks that there be no more than 4 lines of text.

This additional post by me wasn't aimed at anyone specifically. I only added it because it occured to me that people haven't been paying much attention to this rule change. So far we're all concentrating on images, but I wanted to make sure people knew that the text portion of their images was subject to rules too.
