Izzie got op poisoned
We had the most horrific start to our day with Izzie drooling and retching and shaking.
I rang the vet immediately then took her to her house as it was before surgery hours. She checked her over and said she had some form of organic phosphate poisoning. I am at a total loss as to how this happened. We dont use anything in our yard and the only thing happening is a new roof and I tend to keep the girls inside with workmen around.

She gave Izzie an injection to contersct the poison and kept her at the surgery for a few hours.

Good news is Isabella is back to her normal naughty self but I am sure going to be checking the yard out.

She is totally over it...Wayne and I on the other hand are still shocked and worried as to where she got it.

Izzie is lolling on her back sound asleep on daddys pillow. I suppose wayne is just glad she isnt drooling on it

Linnie, I'm sure you & Wayne were terrified! Your vet sounds like she's super! Glad to hear Miss Izzie is back to her normal self! Tell her Farley & Chloe said "Don't go giving your mum & dad any more scares that like!".

I hope you figure out where she came into contact with it so there are no repeat episodes!

calgal I read that information and it was very interesting. I do think it was slow release fertilizer and that is listed. My son in law put it on the fruit trees
I have cleaned the area so I hope it never happens again.
