Midwest Get Together of GP members

That would be really fun but I doubt I can swing the gas money to drive down to Chicago...I'm in Duluth MN. Also, it would be hard to fit all three of our dogs into the car along with the kiddies and the "hubby", even with a station wagon it would be pretty darn cramped. I hope you all are able to get together, it is a great idea!

I'm in central Indiana. I too would have to talk to my parents about it, but I'd LOVE to go!! None of my dogs could come though, since Blackie is dog aggressive, and Rose is fear aggressive...oh well.

Chicago wouldn't be bad for me. I could bring Elite and Max...I can find someone to dogsit the other two. Southern Chicago is about 4hrs for me, so I would have to spend the night or just leave really really early in the morning!! LOL

I just asked my mom if we did get something together if I could come and she said, "Depends where at, and what time." I think Chicago would be ok for us, and just make sure it happens on a weekend!

That is so neat everyone!! Maybe we can pull this off in a few weeks, on a weekend.
The weekend of the 24th and 25th is open for me, and then October 15th and 16th.
It still looks like Chicago land area would be the most convenient for everyone... anyone else have any other ideas? Chicago is about 3.5 hours for me, depending on where we would be meeting. I have a friend near Champaign, and she has a few dogs, so maybe she could suggest something in that general area.
What does everyone else think?

I wish I was Kit!! I was invited to go to Montana in late October... and I have family in Denver that's been dying for us to visit. Maybe I can pull it all together yet and we'll make a fall trip. We have a pup scheduled to arrive at our home the end of Nov, so I better travel now, because it's puppy time all over again! Yippee but ugh!

That's great Crossfire. A few guys from the neighboring dept signed up but they've been put on stand by. At this point, from what I've been hearing, the ODA is nice to have in reserve but they're hoping to not have to actually pull them down there.
