Dumb questions

Ok, I know we have a thread about breeds and the questions we get asked, but has anyone had someone ask them about other things? For example, last night a person told me they had a Basset Hound, and the husband went out and bought a choker chain for it. The woman then asked me..."How do you get it hooked? Those 2 rings on each end don't fit together." ugh....so using Elite's leash, I did a visual example of how it worked....her reply? "OH HOW CRUEL!!!"

Does anyone else get these types of questions and reactions??

Lol, thats funny. xD I know a few people who don't know how to work the chokers either.

Alot of people seem to think that my dogs Halti is a muzzle. They ask me why he is making a muzzle, and I tell them its not one, that its a Halti, like a halter for a horse, so you guide them by their head, making them not pull on the lead. They usually just stare at me or him, or ask why he needs it... uhh, maybe he pulls on the lead? xP
One person, as we were walkng down the street kept making fun of him, then when they noticed the Halti, they asked if it was a muzzle. I, getting very aggrivated, told them it was, and snapped it off and stared at them. They left without another word ^__^

This isn't dog related, but my parents own a fish & chip shop (they also sell other things in there...anything my stepdad thinks will sell ) and they get some of the dumbest questions in there.

My favourite is an oldie but a goodie. I honestly can't believe people actually ask this question but they do ... "How much is a dollars worth of chips?"

Cass.

I think the most hilarious question I was asked was by a gal who had a cute little JRT. She was concerned about what to do when they were outside if her dog wanted to sit down on the ground. I said, "Let her sit." She said, "But won't she get an infection in her private parts from the dirt?".

Oh my goodness!! that's too funny....I had my JRT on a harness and had someone ask..."What is that on him for?" I told them it was a harness, the type that sort of encourages them to walk on a leash, they said, "I've never heard of a harness for dogs"....crazy!!!
