Angry Such a brutal dog I have...

Earlier today Ripley ran out onto the lawn and caught a bird.. He killed it, unfortunately, and then started flinging it around like it was a toy.. I know it's just nature, but it made me sooo mad! And I was hoping to own a bird.. So much for that idea.

Don't feel bad . I have a cat that sits at the bottom of a tree I have a feeder in trying to catch a bird.. I had it 4 1/2 feet and she could jump to get one so, I raised it and it has lessened her catch.. I wanted to strangle her... Now I have to get a ladder to reach the feeder to fill it.. I'm planning to atttach a longer rope to use it to lower it up and down. I fixed her..

My cats have caught birds as well... I just never expected my dog to be so fast, I always let him out when all the birds and ducks and geese are on the lawn so he can bark at them to chase them away, but I won't be doing that anymore.

We have three nests of baby sparrows right now. I walk out with the pugs, one because I dont like them alone, and 2, because they would do the same darn thing, kill a bird and play with it. UGH! Winston killed a mouse last year, about made me sick.

Lucy has become and expert at catching the feral chickens that live around our house. Luckly she has a very soft mouth so she has not ever killed one. But yesterday we were playing in the back yard and I ran into answer the phone and left the door open. In the 5 minutes that I was on the phone she had transported 6 baby chicks into the house along with a very ticked off momma. It took me for ever to get them out of the house.

LOL too funny. Reminds me of a hound mix I had as a kid. If the barn cats strayed too far away, he'd go out, pick them up in his mouth (adults, kittens, didnt matter), and carry them back to the house. Cracked me up. Cats weren't too thrilled with it though. lol

LOL, Buster used to pick up kittens. I don't think he noticed any difference between a sleeping kitten and one of his fuzzy toys until the 'toy' exploded in his face & scratched him!

Labs, gotta love 'em...

It was kind of like "WTF!! I'm gettin' outta here!"

I love the dog, but he's not the brightest crayon in the box.
