Oh....MY...GAWD! This Sunday...

So I went in for my Dr appointment today and my BP was high again, along with nitrates in my urine. Put that with the pain I've been in and the spots, she wanted to induce me THURSDAY but they were booked up Thurs and Fri.

So she scheduled me for Sunday, even though they don't usually do inductions then.

I have to be there at 6:30 am to fill out paperwork, then they'll IV me and start pitocin, then she'll break my water.

It is so exciting, and Dave & little Davey will (possibley) share a b-day. If Davey is indeed born that day (the 25th), I don't know how long it can take.

But OMG I am excited and nervous all at once.

How exciting! Sorry to hear your BP and other levels are high, hope that all maintains until Sunday.

Just a little warning, pitocin hurts like heck, they induced me with my second baby because although my water had broke I wasn't contracting. I was too scared both times to get an epidural and the pain was exceptionally intense with the pitocin, there was not break between contractions, they were constant. All my friends swore by thier epidurals, I hope if I ever have another baby I can be a big girl and get that epidural, I heard it is the best thing ever, lol!

I already told the Dr. I have low pain tolerance, I want epidural.

This Sunday??!!! WOW!!! I had pitocin as well, and yes, IT HURTS....the contractions (so I was told) are about 9 times more intense than regular ones, and like mom2many said, they are constant....GET THE EPIDURAL!! LOL Plus you will have the shakes...not trying to scare you, but just being honest!

Seriously, I hope all goes will with everything, and get that man of yours to post pics as soon as he can!!

I'd be in trouble if I were a pregnant woman (I never thought I'd say those words) because I have white coat syndrome. That's when going to the Dr. makes you so nervous that your blood pressure reading can be sky high. My blood pressure is fine if taken at home (about 125-130/65-70), but my record at the doc is 170/120.
