Caught in the Act

I washed Bears blanket yesterday then just threw it on the sofa while I folded the rest of the laundry load. Bear went right up after it . First time he ever got on the sofa. When I asked him "What are you doing?" he first looked guilty, then tried to hide under a serape then ran over and stuck his head in a purse sitting on the sofa. then he offered to give kisses . Since I'm one of those people that allow dogs on the furniture he got to take alooong nap there, after all his blankie was there.

He is too adorable. He looks like he has a ton of personality. Too cute.

I allow my dogs, except my Lab who's soooo hairy on the furniture too. They are all spoiled rotten. Bonnie use to be allowed on the couch while waiting for a new bed to arrive. She needed somewhere comfy to lie, old, arthritic girl that she is. Then I changed the rules. Plus it's hard on her to jump up like that. Lyric is huge, 85 LBS and 28+ inches tall and long plus his neck and head and he curls up in a little ball and will sleep on one of my wing back chairs. I don't know how he fits. LOL.

our dogs are allowed on the couch, but Kino only is cuz long before he came along the Min Pins were.

Runt will always lay on your back if you are laying on the couch, so that shes between your back and the back of the couch.
Well one day my fiances mother was taking a nap, so like always Runt climbed up there. Shes only 20 pounds so its no big deal...well Kino decided it looked like fun. so he climbed up their on top of Runt. Runts head was stickign out, but her body was gone. Kino weighs 45 pounds! But all three of them slept just like that all afternoon.

I never used to let Bailey on the couch or bed. Not because I didn't allow animals on the furniture but because of her long back and I didn't want her to get hurt jumping down. Now that she is so big, she jumps up on the bed and the couch and I can't keep her off when I'm at work. So i made a ramp for her to get on the bed and one couch. I figure if I can't stop her from doing it I might as well try to keep her safe. I sure love snuggling with her now and she keeps my feet warm at night.

Buster was never allowed on the furniture, except to jump up on the bed for kisses. When we got Ripley, and Ripley had run of the furniture, we decided to let Buster up as well, but he doesn't like it much.

Bear's a cutie!

I use to let my dogs on the couch (boston's) and now I'm not. They do lay on our soft stool with head on the couch, but I want to get knew furniture eventually and I can't if I have the dogs on it. Plus they do have their own beds to have a comfy lay.

My gloden and lab are allowed on the family room couch. Sometimes it will just be the two of them up there. A couple of times while I've been lying on the couch they will both get up and all three of us will cozy up together.

Duke was never allowed on the furniture, but that was my parents rule. So when we got the puppies, I said no to the furniture. But my boyfriend was always letting them, so I decided if you can't beat them, join them . That was in the winter, and the snow was covering all the dirt. Now what was almost new furniture is so dirty, that I'm regretting my decision. But I do like it when they climb up and lay with me, so I guess I will have to get it cleaned, and make a cover for it.

Those pictures really remind me of Duke at that age. Labs are such great dogs

My pup gets hot too easily, so he prefers to lay on the tiled floor over the couch, but my fiance's dog would never settle for the floor. She always lays on the couch or on the lap of someone sitting on the couch. Once, we took her camping, and my fiance, friends and i were all seated around a fire. She wanted to lay down, but she'd NEVER lay in the dirt. She ended up jumping on top of my friend's lap, who happens to only be 4'11 (and the dog is a fairly big dog) and decided to curl up with her.
