Ask a Silly Question....

I'm new here and whatnot, so I don't really know alot of stuff about the forum, but one thing that I have noticed are in alot of the sigs (mainly moderators and whatnot) it says

"As a member of the Global Paw staff, my opinions do not reflect the opinions of the owner of this site" or something to that extent.

My question is why do you have this? Was there a squirmish or something where the owner of the website got in trouble or something? I hope I'm not opening up a can of worms, but was kinda curious.

Its a requirement we as staff have to have. I think only staff (mods and dfg's have it)
Its more to prevent a squirmish then a reaction from a previous one.

Yup, although we're staff members we have minds of our own and opinions to go with it. So it's to make it clear that , just because I as an individual believe something, doesn't mean that that represents the websites view as well.

I've been in forums before and they have had disclaimers and whatnot, but mainly because stuff has happened in the past. Thanks for explaining!
