Pumpkin Pie

Its that time of year again people. Canadian thanksgiving. Yes we have it early...a significant time between thanksgiving and christmas leaves a little more money in the purse. Anyways, the reason I'm posting is because of food. We all need it and no one loves it quite as much as me . PUMPKIN PIE IS THE BEST THING ABOUT THANKSGIVING. I also love stuffing. But I honestly could eat a whole pumpkin pie by myself. And because I'm a student that can't easily take a bus home. (Ontario to Alberta is a LONG distance ppl). I just thought I'd let you guys know so someone can sympathize with me.

But not to worry. I'll be cookin up my food and gettin my eat on with some of my friends. But it won't be a proper meal b/c we're students and dont have good silverware, dish washers, or dinning rooms. hehehehe

Anyone else out there have some favorite holiday foods? Tell me and maybe drop off a recipe or two!

I LOVE pumpkin pie!!!!!! It is my all time favorite dessert with Pecan Pie running a close second. There are a couple of things I was introduced to last Thanksgiving that I had never had before that were really good: Pumpkin Cheesecake and Rhubarb Pie.

I would check around for restaurants doing Thanksgiving meals. When I was living in Cayman Islands we got to celebrate both US and Canadian Thanksgiving (yummmmm double the pleasure). Because many expats on the island were not able to make it back to the States or Canada for holidays, many places would have huge Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and they were so fun.

Aw, now I feel worse then I did before reading this. I live in the States but formaly lived in Canada. All my family still lives there and all I've been hearing is how they are all going to celebrate Thanks Giving together and I'm going through some horrible home sick blues. *sigh* Ah well, the States one will come soon and then we'll have our feast. "lol"

Have a great Thanks Giving in Canada for me!

Oh wait a minute, this post is about pumpkin pie and not about me. LMAO....I don't really like it but I do love apple pie.

Mmm....I love Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's nice to see my family and stuff my face with homemade food. Within two days of Thanksgiving, four pumpkins are GONE LOL!

Pumpkin pie is definitely my favorite Thanksgiving dessert - I never get tired of it. My family and neighbors have a yearly tradition of baking over 100 pies for our local soup kitchen's Thankgsivging celebration and I find there's nothing that gets me more in the spirit than this. (I also love stuffing).

Pumkin pie has always been my favorite dessert of all time. I refuse to eat it any other time of the year than Thanksgiving and Christmas. I won't eat pumkin bread, shakes, muffins or tarts all year round. The wait and antisipation makes it taste so much better when I take that first bite of warm Thanksgiving pumkin pie and vanilla ice cream with cinnamon sprinkled on top. * wipes drool off the corner of her mouth with sleeve*
