Fall Weather

I am so happy because Fall weather finally moved in. It has been so nice this past week. I love layering my clothes and wearing pants and boots. I can't wait to watch the leaves change color. I love to just drive out in the country and view the beauty of change. This time of year makes me feel great, refreshed, and comfortable.

Some of the trees are starting to change colors around here and it is so pretty!

OK...so I live in what we call the World's Finest City (San Diego) but we don't have a 'fall'. We have two seasons...hot and cold (and the cold doesn't go much below 45F). We have trees, but they don't really turn colors because by the time they start turning, the gardners come and 'prune' them for the winter.

That is the only thing about So Cali I don't like...the lack of seasons. Oh well! That's the price I pay for sunshine 360 days of the year!!!

Hmm... Fall passes by too fast here. The foliage here during the autumn season is no less than amazing. Unfortunately, the trees seem to explode in color and then are empty of leaves. Winter is usually uopn us by mid-October. And that's our longest season.
I love ALL seasons, but wish I could enjoy a longer fall here.

I love fall weather too. I love to put on a nice comfy hoody sweatshirt! There is something about Hoodies that comfort me like Mom giving me a little hug. I like hot chocolate with marsh mellows and home made soups and breads. I love all of the fall and winter holidays and all the decorating, present wrapping, family gathering and baking. My happiest time of the year is winter when the cities put sparkly lights up everywhere and the air smells so crisp and clean. I love snow...sledding, skiing and especially coming in the house after a losing good hard snowball fight with the neighbor kids and sitting next to a warm fire to toast my toesies. * sigh*

I think I'll go light the cinnamon apple candles and make some hot cocoa right now.

Awsome...*sets a steamy cup of cocoa in front of Jamila* That looks nice and comfy! I also love thick, over sized flannel pajamas in the winter time. That reminds me...did anyone ever kick your legs under the covers as a kid to watch the flannel pj's make sparks of static electricity in the dark? My brothers and I would crawl under the covers and kick our legs so fast we would have arcs of static electricity criss-crossing between our footy pajamas. LOL!!!!

I love fall. Nice and brisk! Pug friendly weather.. not such a huge worry about my pugs and heat. I've been getting in a lot of biking lately.... love getting a workout and enjoying the cooler air, and the falling leaves. A lot of trees are dropping their leaves here already.

We don't have as nice a fall as the east coast but we do have lots of maple trees all over the place that's really turning very red right now. I love fall........as I've said before, it's my favorite time of year.

I love fall too - it's my favorite season. I don't know if this sounds weird, but when I "smell" fall, I start to get excited. I think it goes back to remembering Halloween as a child - it was and always has been my favorite holiday. I love the kind of food the fall inspires - pies and sticky rolls especially, and the look of the leaves, and the moon's largeness, and the way the naked trees look at night. I love that the Shibas start to come into coat, and how they look when they run through the leaves (Kimi lives for hunting leaves).

And three cheers for hoodies - I'm comfortably situated in my black Juicy Couture hoody.
