General Announcement to my house "guests"
<rant>
Dear Uninvited Guests that are just there to use the tools in my garage, You are generally always welcome at my house, and myself and my dogs will greet you with open arms, but please do take the following points into consideration. "get down" will not get a dog off the couch. You might as well tell them "bananatreemonkeycake" because that means nothing to them. "dont eat my food" when you drop your burger will not stop Cooper from making your lunch his either. And when they look at you strange and do nothing when you say "sit down" doesnt mean they are stupid. Please do not tell my my dogs are disobedient and retarded when they do not listen to your so-called "commands" as you randomly blurt them out. I believe what you are trying to tell them is "off" and "leave it". "sit" and "down" are two different things. How would you like it if I told you to turn leftright. My dogs are better at learning commands than you are, I dont know how many times Ive asked you to put down the toilet seat and you have yet to do it without me threatening you. To continue, yes, I know there is doggy deposits in my yard. Poop happens. I dont follow them around all day every day catching it comming out their rear so it doesnt hit the grass. I do my best to pick it all up, but Im not one of those search-and-pickup poop sniffing people and sometimes landmines get left behind. Deal with it. Do not tell me to break up my dogs play time because you are scared of they reindeer games. They are big, young, athletic dogs. They play rough. If you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Dogs eat dog food. Dogs do not eat chocolate/candy/fries/doritos. Do not feed the dogs your food. Part of the reason my dogs are fit and trim is their healthy diet. Maybe you could take some pointers from them and do something with that spare tire you have got going on. Thank you for your cooperation. Please pick up all the stuff you left in the driveway before you leave. I will not be held responsible for Rexie turning it into chew toys. -karen </rant> |

Don't you just LOVE people like that? (NOT!!!!) At least all of the people that come to our house don't bark out orders to our dogs...they are actually impressed with all of the "tricks" they can do!
If somebody was in my house and was bossing my dog around like that after I told them not too....they would NOT be in my house any longer. lol ![]() |

I love when people come into your house and feel like they have more of a right to be there then your dogs do.

This is why dogs will always be welcome in my house, but people must make an appointment.
