beagle in the halls!!!!

Well yesterday was a very eventful day indeed - more specifically morning! I got to school and was walking towards my friends when suddenly this white flash goes past me and the jingling of tags disappears amongst the crowds of milling students clogging the halls. I look at my friend abbey and i was like "was that a dog?????" and Jill answere for her with a very confused nod of her head. So the three of us left our other friends in hot pursuit of the dog. We couldn't see the dog cause it was too small and the halls were so packed but we knew we were going the right way as we followed the random voices saying "hey who's dog is that?" "Why is there a dog in the school?" and"*** WAS THAT??????!!!!" We got very lucky in that the dog decided to investigate a math room to get some relief from the hundreds of legs he had to weave through and thus ended up cornering himself. Being the most dog-knowledged one of the three of us I cautiously approached the dog (at this point identified as an unneutuered male beagle) and was able to grab his collar with ease. Knowing attempting to thread my way through the crowds while bending over to keep hold of this dog's collar would be near impossible I scooped the guy up (with Abbey carefully holding his muzzle) and headed up to the office to report the dog and attemtp to find some owners. My VP was so rude to us though!!! Urgh!!!! He kept going on and on about dogs weren't allowed in the school and we would have to tie him up outside in the rain and leave him there and return to class!!!! I was like there's no wayi'm leaving him unattended with some of the idiots that go to my school having full access to him and I wasn't leaving until I knew he had owners coming to pick him up! Well long story short I ended up having to sit outside for 1hr in the rain, with the poor boy whining from being completely terrified and cold, while my VP carried on with his day after making a couple measly phone calls to the vet. He never even came out to inform me when the vets called him back to let him know that there was no answer at the owner's house! Turned out that one of the students owned the dog so he came and took him home again. I was glad the owner was found but boy was I irked by my VP's lack of compassion!!!!!!

Wow! That sounds very exciting! Sorry about your VP...He sure doesn't sound compassionate! Thats cool that you got to save the beagle though!!!!

Poor pup. Thank goodness you were the one to handle the situation, who knows how it would have turned out if someone else caught him, they probably wouldn't have been to willing to sit out in the rain with the pup.
Your VP is obviously not a dog person, makes me feel sorry for him on all he's missing out on.

Ya my VP's....special. He kinda creeps me out sometimes too...ah well he lets me do a lot of stuff that most students wouldn't be allowed to so it's all good
