East coast dog friendly beach

i had posted this question under another category, but didnt get much response. (thanks to yall who did respond

so i am posting here maybe it will get more replies.

we want to find a beach for next spring or summer vacation that is very dog friendly. east coast such as north or south carolina. i would love a beach where hugo can romp in the waves without having to be leashed, but if i must leash him that is ok too. there are some beaches that i have heard only lets dogs on the beach sept thru may or only at certain times of day (ex. after 5 pm). if you all go to any dog friendly beaches, please post. thanks!!

I know there are beachs in the Outer Banks, south of Nags Head that have beaches that you can drive and fish on. I'm almost positive you can take your dog on them also. Also there aren't any lifeguards at those beaches either. Just an FYI

I second the OuterBanks. Very dog friendly. And lots of dog stores to visit.

I always end up visiting Outerbarks. www.outerbarks.com The owners are very very nice. Rumor sampled quite a few treats.

thanks for the info! i have really been looking into the outer banks. from what i have read duck, nc is very dog friendly! thanks and of course if you hear of anything else, please post.

Well Duck is where we go. So I can guarantee that the area is very dog-friendly.
