Stupid Time Changes

Twice a year I complain to nobody in particular about how the governement controls our time and why can't we get that law changed? It's a pain in the neck. The only place I've lived that didn't have a Daylight Savings Time was Arizona. I loved that place!

In Texas, some brainac decided that it would be good if the whole state were on the same time zone. That works, if your state isn't the size of a small country. Where I live (which should be Mountain Time), the sun doesn't set until 9:00 PM in the summer! That's crazy!

Semi-annual rant complete. So, US residents, remember to turn back your clocks tonight...unless you live in Arizona...lucky dogs.

We Aussies have just started Daylight Savings Time here (I mean, we've always had it, but it was last night we had to turn the clocks forward). I hate it too. It always mucks me about and I hate summer enough as it is, without them mucking about with what time I have to get up.

AND they're going to make us keep DST going for an extra week this time 'round so all our visitors for the Commonwealth games get to experience it too.

Cass.

Yes, we have to set our clocks back tonight, I hate it getting so dark so darn early. Yes Sonja, I know, you dont do daylight savings. Remember last year when I showed up at your house before 6am, the day before WE set our clocks back! Man did I feel dumb!!!

I'm not a fan either. Everyone else gets an extra hour of sleep and I'm at work for an extra hour. At least it's overtime.

Yeah, I had to change my clocks back an hour last night! I absolutely hate getting out of work at 5 PM and having it be dark. It's like the day is completely over. I have heard some talk going on that they have been doing studies and determined that the changing of the clocks back does increase depression and that they are thinking about perhaps eliminating the time change in the future. I, for one, sure hope so!

I hate it too, my poor dogs are all off their schedule....Elite came in to the bedroom at 530 (the original 630) waking me up as if to say.."You are late, I have to pee"...I hate the whole thing and wish it didn't have to happen. What is the reason for it, anyway???

For some reason I thought that the DST was tonight, then everyone at the party last night was like "Noooo... tonight"

I used to work a contenental midnight shift, it sucked! 12 hours is long enough, but then to add an extra hour? Bleh.

I know I hate it when it is dark when I leave in the monring and dark when I return. It is like there was never even a day to appreciate.

Working third shift I have that every day but I like it that way! LOL The sun, ohhhhh nooooooo can't have that....burn the retinas right out of my head it would! lol I can see where the time change would really make a mess of schedules for people and their pets alike!

Is it really needed anyway? Hmmmm...

I LOVE bicycling for exercise after work... now it means I'll be biking in the dark. Sigh.

I think we should leave time to mother nature and stop messing with it. I'm sure by changing it twice a year has to cause more problems than we realize.
Not only do we have to change lots of clocks and watches, but we have to make sure they are also changed in the cars.
