Yes it is lovely. Did anyone notice the "star" beneath? That is Mars. Mars is nearly as bright as it will get. It will be at its brightest at the end of the month.

Thank you for mentioning that! I just went out and looked at Mars, with the moon just above it.

It's very overcast right now. All you can see where I'm at, is the moon and Mars.

I took pictures of the moon and sunset yesterday evening and the moon this evening. I just don't have the know how to post pictures to this thread.

It is so beautiful & bright that I didn't need the flashlight to take the dog out in the backyard I just can't believe how it lights up the night sky.

oh no another full moon! I work with kids and you can always tell when a full moon is going to be. I had a crazy day today! I'm not sure if anyone else has worked in a hospital or school and has noticed a difference in the way people act during a full moom. It's freaky

It's snowing where I am and there's no moon to be seen! It's the tail of a heck of a storm from the north with rain, snow and winds to 60 mph we outran this afternoon when we left Boulder/Denver/Colorado Springs. It wasn't expected here until late tonight or tomorrow, but here it is. I'm on the just on the border of Colorado and New Mexico now.

Snowing where I am too. Bummer, it's completely overcast. I'm a bit of a closet astronomy fan hehe, unfortunately I broke my telescope, and haven't had the money to get a new one, so it's just binoculars for now, it's amazing how much you can see with a good pair of binocs.
