Ugh! sounds like you're having loads of fun. I'm afraid curing a cold just takes time and TLC, along with Nyquil and LOTS of rest and fluids ( juices & water ).
I find Nyquil works pretty good, plus they have the dayquil too ( so you're not out of it.)Sometimes a good hot toddy will ease the pain but don't mix with any other meds and go straight to bed! Just a note , years ago an older meter cop had told me to eat a thick onion sandwich...yuck!, he swore up and down that it worked. Anyways, take care , hope you feel better soon. |

Ooops no toddy for you
Well I'll tell you what I tell my son...take two advil or nyquil and go to bed. Get as much rest as you can and more. If you take care of your body , it will take care of you. Sorry, there just isn't a magic cure for a cold, eat well, drink lots of fluids and, you guessed it , go to bed ![]() |

My husband swears by Coldeze....I've never tried it myself. It's a lozenge and you take 4 of them a day. It's pretty much like zicam, it's supposed to shorten the duration and severity of a cold. Children over 12 can take it.
I am lucky enough that I rarely get sick. I think it's been about 7 years since I got really sick. I got a small cold in september but I only lost my voice and sneezed a lot. My husband caught the same cold and he got bronchitis. |
