Since this has hit here locally I'm sure it's just a matter of time before it goes further ( if it hasn't already ) so I thought I'd post the information.

New Email Scam Operating In The Area

Nov 24, 2005 - (Fort Wayne, IN 11/24/05)-- The Northeast Indiana Better Business Bureau is warning of a new e-mail scam in which the sender claims to work for the FBI or the CIA. Officials say the fake email claims investigators have discovered illegal internet activity on your computer, and you must answer a questionnaire to exonerate yourself.

The BBB advises you to delete these e-mails, and not answer the questions, as the attachment is actually an invasive program to infiltrate your computer. (Edited by Paula Hinton)

Lol.. It is amazing what people would believe. Wouldn't you think that if the FBI thought you were doing something illegal they'd be knocking on your door* instead of sending you an email?

If I dont directly know the person the e-mail is from I delete it.

Good to know though I will have to pass the info on.

p.s. tessa_s212 I hope you meant knocking on your door and not your dog

I got like so many of those, it was crazy

At first I was really confused so I tried to open the attachment but then hotmail said that there was a virus attached to it...so I didn't, I glad
