I want to get Lucky a friend

I want to get another dog for Lucky so that she could have some company while I'm gone at school.

My brother doesn't have a dog so maybe my parents would allow it, but they probably would'nt.....oh well, I just thought she would like to have a dog to play with cause she doesn't get along with any of the other dogs in my neighborhood very well....

yea my parents got their dog when my mom was working part time cuz I was in school...when I got old enough she went back to full time so we got the dog a cat....he stopped being bored while he was home alone all day...

I thought you said that Lucky fought with your neighbor's dog? Is it just that one?

What kind of dog do you want to get as a companion for her?

No, she's fine with my neighbor's German Shepard now. Now it's the German Shepard that doesn't like Lucky!! I don't know....It's a weird relationship they have going.

I would like to get another pit mix. I think she would get along with one of her own kind better.

It's been just over 5 years since we got Macie, she's our first dog. Almost immediately my sisters and I started in on my mother to get another dog, she flatly refused. After three years she allowed us to become a foster family for an assistance dog. Judge came to us as a seven week old bundle of black lab. One of the questions that the foundation asks its foster families is that if for some reason the dog does not pass it's training would we adopt it. We said we would. Well after three months in the training program we were called to come and get Judge if we still wanted him. That same night we became a two dog family. And less than three months ago we became a three dog family when my sister, who works at a local animal shelter, had to have this eight month old border collie cross. Later that week we brought her home.

All I'm saying is hang in there you may just get your wish for another dog.

Yea same here. I was wantin to get Chance a play mate while I was gone since he cannot play with any of our small dogs bc he might hurt them. He is a blue heeler/pit mix what would be a good kind for him. Under 60 and above 30. Hyper not lazy.
