I've had my papillion for three years now but i miss my collie dog soo much right now, my friend just got one and it is the best dog, exactly like my dog. Duke died of cancer at 16 yrs old but he had always been around me, he was my protector and did anything to keep me safe, saved me when i was 4 (i was in the bath and my mom was on the phone with her back to me and i had slipped and knocked myself out on the tap and duke barked and got in the bath to get me up and my mom saw and got me out before i drowned) i just wished i could have saved his life, even though he was 112 in dog years i feel so bad that i didn't even try to beat the cancer
if you could post some pics of your Collies that would be great, They are so photogenic! |

Sorry about your collie. I had a collie cross (Tanya) before Holly who also had to be put down due to cancer, she was 15. She had cancer of the bone. We did actually amputate the leg which it was in, but it only gave her 4 months sadly. I really miss Tanya, she was an angel.
Sally and Kody are gorgeous! Here was Tanya ![]() And this is Holly ![]() --- ![]() --- ![]() |

I just got a collie puppy about a month an a half ago. She's four months now but in the pictures she's three months or younger. Since I only have a few that I took myself I have some the breeder sent us. I'll have to dig up some newer ones once I get the chance. Her ears are pretty weird. When we first got her they were straigh up and would criss-cross if she got excited. Then for about a day they both folded over like regular collie ears. Then about a week ago we woke up and her right ear was flopped over. Now they're straight again.

I know exactly how you feel about missing your collie. We currently have two 8 year old female collies, Dezi and Dana. They are littermates, and their sire, Darin was that one special dog in a lifetime for me. At one point, we had 10 collies, all couch potatoes, and loved like crazy. Old age began to take them one by one. In a span of 2 years, we lost all of them but the 2 we have now.
I was so hard saying goodbye to each one of them. We keep their memory alive always in our hearts, and you can see all of their pictures that we have done watercolors of, if you want to see our homesite. Springdale Collies and Goldens. The avatar I use is of my precious Darin when he was in his prime, and all his glory. Many of our collies are also in our photo gallery here at global paw. I have included a watercolor pic of Delta Maria here. ![]() |
