Blocking...

I am sorry to keep posting, but an Anonymous user sent me a PM suggesting that instead of leaving the forum I could block certain members from responding to my posts (or atleast make the posts where they don't show up on my screen)... Right now I am on a REALLY slow computer (which is why I said I would withdraw my registration tonight when I get back to my computer rather than now) so tonight instead of withdrawing my registration I will be blocking a couple of members.

Thanks again to everyone who posted such nice posts!

Brandi

Hi and WELCOME !! Sorry for the way you were treated. I have a 2 year old RED male ACD named "Caiza" who is a total BALL obsessed fool He is such a great boy! Your girl is beautiful! How old is she? Glad you are having her spayed after this litter.

Thank you very much! Your male is very handsome! I am a little scared to answer to the question because I don't want to open up a whole other can of worms... but she is 4 years old. How old is your male?

I almost forgot to add that I noticed you ACD doesn't have a docked tail! (neither does Dixie if you couldn't tell in the pictures) I am really glad to see that! Alot of people like the looks of the docked tail but it actually hurts a working dog. Their tail is their main source of balance and it REALLY helps with their "heeling"... I'm jus happy to see someone else that doesn't have their dogs tail docked. Anytime anyone else says something to me like "her tail should be docked" I tell them to pay attention to the next dog show they see and watch for the ACD WITH its tail... there is a reason for that...

Anyways, I hope what I just said doesn't step on anyones toes... I was simply stating my opinion on the matter. Hopefully Dixie still having her tail won't be considered a crime or hurtful to her....

Oh I agree with the tail thing! ACD's are "supposed" to have a tail as it acts as a rudder when herding cattle. Caiza has a gorgeous strong tail and I couldn't picture him without it!

I've been reading all the threads here and just have one thing to say. Welcome to a communtiy that has very concerned and friendly folks. I know how hurtful it is to have these comments directed at you because I've been there myself. I'm still here though because it isn't worth holding it in.
You have a beautiful fur-family to be very proud of. Congratulations!

I have a 15 1/2 year old Chihuahua named Delsi who is on the down hill slide now, and two female Yorkies, Zada and Azrael who are 2 years old.

I agree with the no tail thing. An old friend has a heeler with no tail and I was like what the heck happened to her tail. lol She said the breeder did it.

lol niko(in my avatar) is a maltese and max in my siggy is a wheaton terrier.

If i lived on a farm niko would be a corgi (he nips ankles) and max would be a german shepherd he is very protective and normally likes to chase big animals (we took him to my unlces friends farm a few years ago)

There is an ACD that comes into my work to board. He's a red male named Rico. He's probably one of the coolest dogs there I've met (besides a GORGEOUS B.mastiff that's a huge favorite). He's so laid back. He's not rowdy, barky, wanting to herd everything. But once you go into the arena (the play area), he immediately picks up a ball, drops it at your feet and backs up from it keeping his eyes locked on the ball. You toss it in the air to him and he jumps-spins when he catches it. It's the coolest thing. His owner said he can locate his ball in the dark when it's falling off of the roof. He said the ball is nowhere in sight to him, but he'll listen to where it's rolling and never misses once it falls off the edge. Too cool..
