Thumbs up My Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) Dixie!!

Hi,
I am new to the Forum so I hope it is ok to post a picture here... This is Dixie my Blue Heeler female:

Anywhere the 4-wheeler goes she thinks she has to go!!

I raised Dixie from 5 weeks old... She is my little sweetheart! She was an engagement present from my Husband. We breed Dixie and right now she is in heat, so we are in the process of selecting from two male heelers to breed her with. Everytime she has a litter of puppies she will not let me leave her side and she insists on laying in my lap while she delivers. This will be her 5th and final litter of puppies. After this litter I will be having her fixed.

What breed herding dog do you have?? And if you have pictures I would love to see them!!

Brandi

Aw! Dixie is a cutie!

I have had thoughts as to what my GSD is mixed with, and sometimes I feel he's got ACD in him.

*shrug* He's still my handsome fella, whatever he is

Please instead of breeding her for the 5th time (Seeing as she is 4 years old), get her spayed!! You are doing a very irresponsible act.

So let me get this straight... You think that telling someone that they are "no better than a Puppy Mill" and that they are an "unethical breeder" and just pretty much bashing them is going to help them do anything?? All you are interested in is making someone feel terrible. There is a BIG difference between giving advice and offering help then there is between just plan getting onto someone when you really have NO right to. Now if you were planning on offering "help" then I suggest you find a different way of doing it!

This is a free forum but no one wants to be harrassed!

I'm sorry I was shocked too when I read this, 5 litters!!! She was purchased at 5 weeks too? What kind of breeder was she from, I would think not a good one as no responsible person would sell a puppy at 5 weeks! Is this dog registered as they wouldn't allow to be here in the UK if our KC found out that they were sold at such an age.

You ACD is really pretty do you live on a farm or open area (by the looks of it in the second picture it looks like a farm)
while i'd normally have to agree with what everyone else is saying about the litters of pups she has i also have to agree that no one even on a public forum deserves to be harassed and followed by other members to be put down by them.

Thank you for getting her spayed after this litter. While you did produce a large amount of litters that is in the past and we cant change that.

Withdrawing My Registration To This Forum...

Thank you to everyone on here that posted such nice replies about my two girls!

I was trying to post nice threads about my girls but instead someone took it upon themselves to ruin what I was doing and make it into a suggestion/demand post. If I can't post a single thread on here in peace (and it has been shown that I can't) then there is no point in me staying with this forum. I am a long time member of many other forums that aren't so quick to judge and don't automatically jump on their high horse and try to ruin innocent posts, so I will be sticking with those. I will be withdrawing my registration from this forum tonight, which should make a few of you very happy.

Thanks again to all the people that posted nice comments about my girls! I really do appreciate it.

Brandi

Thank you VERY much roman! I had hoped that people would look at the fact that I AM getting her fixed, but I see that that was too much to ask. To me it just seems outragious to have been a member for only 3 days and be treated like this on ALL of my posts. I am very happy to see that atleast one person does understand and I greatly thank you for it!

To answer your question, we live on a farm. The pictures on my website are of my parents' farm.. I haven't been able to add pictures of mine and my husbands farm yet but I hope to do that soon. And thank you for the nice comment about Dixie as well.

Brandi
