Or shall I say Biscuit did it. He's pretty well trained, it's been weeks since he's had an accident in the house. We put a bell by the door (and I'd like to say I was skeptical about this method at first) but he caught onto it right away. He touches the bell with his nose when he wants out. It only took us a few times ringing the bell and he learned fast. Just wanted to share my great news.

Good Job Biscuit. We are working with Maggie with the bell . I am was leary at first but she seems to be getting it as well. Except she hits it with her paw. We had a minor set back last night but she is only 11 weeks old. My dad thought it was so funny we are teaching Maggie to ring a bell when she needs to go potty. He thinks we are crazy for all the things we do for our little girl.

At 11 weeks your baby is doing wonderfully! Congrats to you and Maggie!

The bell is a great idea. Currently Yoshi thinks that biting me is a great way to tell me she needs to go outside. I think I would prefer the bell sound to the biting! Do you suggest one of the 'ring the bell for service' bells or a 'jingle bell' hanging from the door.

We just have one of the bells that you tie to a string, got it from the craft store. I rang them all to make sure I was getting one that I would be able to hear and that it wasn't too hard for him to get it to make a noise.
