Unhappy saying goodbye

i wouldnt have agreed to take my one year old dachsund, freckles when she was four months if i knew that we would have to sell the house.
But it's come to that, and i have to find another home to freckles and piper. its not fair, i'm just as heart broken but its reality, i dont think they would feel very comfortable in a small apartment any way.
Just wanted to share my bad news.
love always,
daisy

I'm so sorry.. This is always the hardest part of being a pet owner- saying good by, rather it be a passing or forced to rehome.. A Labrador breeder whome my parents contacted when they were looking for a breeder, contacted them today to see if they'd be interested in any started Labs for their future breeding program. Seems they had some problems in the family and are forced to re-home all but a few(2 bitches) . She has 4 started 10mnth old pups, 2 studs and I belive a bitch available . I wouldn't mind taking in one of the Rebel sired pups but Beau beat them to me and I wouldn't be able to hand another- especialy a field bred .. Wish you and the puppers the best, I hope they find loving homes..

I hate to hear that...Do you have any friends or family that would adopt them so you could still be close? I wish you the best and sorry to hear.

that is very sad. I know it must kill you to say good bye. But if you loved them very much I'm sure they'll never forget you.

Is there anyway you can keep them? Dogs can be very comfortable in apartments as long as they get plenty of exercise. Keep looking for a way to keep them, you never know. Think positive.

But if you have to say goodbye to them, I'm sure you'll find them good forever homes. Sometimes we can't control these things. But I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Cass.

If the apartment allows pets, I'm sure your dachsunds would be thrilled to live in an apartment. As long as they are with you, they'd be happy!

But if the apartment you have to move to does not allow pets, I hope they find wonderful homes....

I'm in the process of moving myself...but there's no way I'd leave my animals behind, so I only look at apartments with fenced yards and obviously pet friendly (eventhough they are most expensive). even so...if you could find an apartment that allows animals, you puppers could defintely be happy. A good morning and evening walk plus some play each day, and they'll be ok. I'd see if you could find a pet friendly place. It's got to be sooo heart wrenching! I hope it all works out either way tho
