Hound Group Dogs in the Hound Group were developed to hunt by scent or by sight. Hounds are generally sweet and loving with people.

dachshund play group
Hi everyone, I just adopted the best doxie in the world. We live in south florida, broward county, and we were wondering if their were any play groups for doxies or how to start one. I know they exist, but I don't know where to start..

I take my 3 dachshunds to a play group once a week. I have friends and family that own dachshunds and I found the rest by inviting dachshund owners from parks and obedience classes. When ever I meet a dachshund owner with a nice, friendly dog, I invite them to meet us at the park to play. We meet once a week and have had as many as 20 dachshunds together. It is a riot!

How about making up some flyers to meet at a local dog park or beach? I think that would attract a lot of people. Post the flyers in PetSmart, vet offices (ask permission of course), or along the beach.

Greyhound playgroups are a fairly common thing whereever you have a handful of greyhound owners in the same vicinity...I'd LOVE to see pics of your doxie play day! How adorable!!

I have wanted to do the same thing. I live in Tennessee and Toby loves to play with other dogs, but I can't seem to find any play groups around here :-(
