IWHs & Ghandi
Hi!
Other giant breed owners, does your dog go all Ghandi on you and just lay down when they don't feel like complying? How do you handle it? I tried to give Darby a bath in a different tub the other day (we had company coming and I had just finished cleaning the guest bath I usually use) and he just laid down and refused. Sadly, he won. Thanks in advance, Kris |

Well, I can't ever say that has happened to me. And if it did, Elite may win, just because if she was "dead weight" I probably couldn't pick her up.
She will, however, try to by-pass the bathroom, but I grab her collar and "guide" her in. I can't imagine even trying to pick up an IWH...NO WAY! LOL |

My borzoi does the same thing. I call it her civil disobedience routine. I lure her up with a treat or attach a leash to her, give a slight tug, and make a clicking sound. I have no idea why the clicking sound helps, but it does. Sometimes squeaking a toy will work, too. I try to be creative because force just isn't an option. |
