Twix and the relatives
Well as we all Thanksgiving was yesterday. My fiancee Tommy and I recently bought a large home and so the whole family came to our place. Which is probley how Christmas will go too.
Anyways Twix is our 6 month old male Saluki puppy. He's a sweet boy but I think we should have named him trouble. Really no one had even met Twix yet and just knew him from pictures. Im not so sure he went over so well .So we got dinner set out on the kitchen counters and put the dogs in their respective rooms while we ate. Well little did I know Twix has developed a new talent. With enough biting and pawing he can open up doors. Not only this he can unlock certain locks as well. Twix was the only one in a room alone. So we never even knew he got out until it was too late. My aunt went back out into the kitchen and I suddenly heard her throwing a fit. I ran in to see Twix paws up on the counter enjoying the very last bits of pumpkin pie. Which he started and finnished himself. After pulling him down off the counter we noticed other things half eaten . Now in all defense our dining room has big sliding doors. Which were shut off so we never heard him coming. We had quite a few upset relatives and one full bellied Saluki. Of course he was just as pleased as punch with himself. And he was more than happy when all these new people gathered around him in disbeleif. He was a sight to be seen. Paws stained red from cranberry sauce. Which he seemed to play in more than eat. And then his muzzle covered in pumpkin filling and whipped cream. He is definately going through that puppy "rebellion" period lol. Where your almost have to expect these incidents lmao. Well I just thought I would share about my naughty Saluki. |

I'm so glad your dad was amused. That would have been the kiss of death for me if that happened with my in-laws around. I hope your family will take it in stride.
As far as your troublesome pup, he won the lottery man. What a feast. Hope he doesn't expect seconds, LOL. |

Hope you keep him confined in a room that has no carpet, and many frequent trips outside till all that food has worked it's way out. All that sugar may keep him bouncing off walls for a couple of days. Guess it's time to put a little lock on the "outside" of the door.
