Mia update....

[I vistited Mia yesterday.. Shes grown so much since my last visit.. It will be another week til she comes home.. They have just started eating kibble. But, then again there just 6 weeks.. Owner says she makes sure they are really ready to go home before letting them go..
They have started venturing out of the cradle alot more in the last week and you should see them play together.. LOL They only male just lay there on his back while the sisters tumbled all over one another..tail pulling and nipping at eachother..
I'm so read for Mia-Sara to be home.. I've started buying toys for her.. And shes got her own lil' blankey..I'm going to PetsMart this week.. Do you think shes to little for the small kong?

Thanks Taz. I've not been to petsmart in a while.. But, then again when I was there I wasn't hunting for toys for a small dog either.. I'll put Puppy Kong on the list..

I got Bailey the puppy kong and it was perfect for her. She grew into it and was able to pick it up and run with it very soon. If you stuff it your puppy will just hold onto it and lick out the goodies. The puppie kongs are very small but Mia will be very small too. LOL I want another puppy! I remember how tiny Bailey was and I miss her puppy breath! Bailey loved her little stuffed animals with squeakies in them the best. Her favorite toy was a little pink sheep. She dragged it everywhere and even used it as a pillow in her crate. I could barely get it away from her to throw it in the washing machine, she would cry and cry until it came out of the dryer.

When she was a tiny baby I would just put her wet dog food in it and freeze it. I didn't want to put weird stuff in her tummy. Now that she is older I put a little peanut butter or yougurt in it. ( I gave her a few test bites of yogurt first to make sure she wasnt allergic and didn't get sick.) For a special summer time treat I will put tiny bits of cheese and turkey in it and then pour diluted chicken broth into it and freeze it. She has to eat this popsicle outside because it makes a mess! Make sure you smash a treat in the end to plug the little hole and put it in a bowl while it freezes or else your freezer will be a mess too. There is a can of doggie cheezewiz stuff you can buy at petsmart to stuff the kong with. It is rather expensive and the liver flavored stuff smells really bad.

Here is the kong website and they have a lot of recipes for stuffing kongs.
