Puppy Points Explained

We have changed our old "reputation" system to the new "Puppy Points" system.

Under this new system, no one is allowed to give negative points, a user is only allowed to give positive points to users who have made good posts. And, unlike the old system, everyone can see who is giving who points.

The amount of the points you give per cycle depends on each users. Your "power" determines the impact you will have when giving points. You'll see on the top right hand side of every post a box, with Puppy Points, and Power listed. Puppy Points are the total amount of points you've earned from other members, and power is the amount of impact you would have if you give points to someone else.

The following is the criteria used to determine your power:

For every 20 days you are a member, you gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 50 posts, you gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

For every 50 points of reputation, you gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

You are allowed to give points a max of 20 times each day.

You must give to 5 other members before you can give points to the same user twice.

What and where do I "click" if I want to give someone points. I'm a little confused...

Click the words "Puppy Points" on the top right of the user's post.

Not really a problem with the old system, it was just time to move on to another way of doing things without the negative and so the birth of puppy points.

I had a question. I can see who gave me puppy points, but no place to see who I gave puppy points to in my user CP,
am I missing it, or do i just need to buy more post its?

As far as I know, none of us are able to see who we gave puppy points too. Time to order those post its. LOL

If you want someone to know you gave them puppy points, then put your name at the end of the note...

Same here, kparx. I used to feel unloved because I don't have a gazillion points. But now I've actually come to be proud of the number of points I've *lost*! I'd give you some sympathy points, kparx, but I have a lot of power and you'd have more points than me!

thats not it, i was wanting help remembering whom i gave them too, becuase of the 5 ppl before multiple point thing...and because i want to be fair, theres a lot of deserving out there!
