Hello to all....
Firstly, thank you uncle fred for pointing me in this direction, as its a lovely site
and with that I'll introduce myself; I'm Amanda, from Cumbria and Animal Concern Cumbria. I work and represent the charity throughout the internet in the hope of raising awarenes of the plight of our many homeless animals as well as responsible ownership. As for me personally, well, I'm married, and have 3 wonderful teenagers who drive me almost to insanity. but I love them We are owned by 4 gorgeous doglets (all rescue's of course) and numerous smaller animals of the furred variety. I look forward to speaking to some of you soon (although I must confess that I can't speak/type any other language other than english sorry) |

Thanks to all for your lovely Welcome
I was in a bit of a rush the other night trying to find a safehaven for Zena, and so didn't think too much about posting pics. I will post some when I find the right section. Quote:

Thanks for the lovely comments
Kim and Sam are GSD/Boxer/Staffy crosses, but I could see why Kim could look like your friends dog, IceyBlueSibes. She has the 'bully' like head. Swiftwind, Chinnchilla's aren't that big, and would say that they aren't that much larger than guinea pigs. Most of the photo's that I have seen of them, have been taken with them sitting upright and as they arch their back and sort of squish themselves up, they do look at lot smaller. I doubt very much that Chinchilla's would survive in Australia, since they originate from the Ande's which is a lot colder climate and they do tend to suffer more with heat exhaustion. (I could be wrong on this however) |

I have one male standard grey chin. His name is Hamster and we have had him for almost 7 years now. He is the sweetest little boy and very social and spoiled. Please post pics of your chins in the " other pets " section. I'll show you pics of our little boy too.
