I'll finally introduce myself
I've been registered, for, well, quite awhile, so I thought I'd finally take the time to introduce myself. (Not to mention I get frequent e-mails reminding me that I have never posted. Plus I've seen quite a few familiar names- Renee, Rip's Girl, there was someone else I think, and milo too!)

So, I have a red rescue boy named Duke. I had been diligently searching the shelters, near and far, and actually almost ended up adopting a Rottweiler because I felt so sorry for her. But, as it turned out I got my red Doberman. He was listed in the New Jersey classified ads on Petfinder, so I called the owners. I was feeling pretty confident that he would soon be home with me, until he said there was someone in New Jersey looking to give him a home. My heart dropped when he told me that, but I was lucky enough to have him choose to drive Duke the three hours to Maryland than let him go to live with the New Jersey couple. I got him last year on December 20th, and I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present.

I'll post some pictures of him when I have a little more time.
