Keep him in the kitchen or small area that he can't run in, and when you take him out to potty, make sure he's on a leash. Just keep him busy with chewy's and toys. Gald to hear he feels better already.

Welcome to GP!! I'm sure the little guy is in a bit of pain but you would be surprised at how dogs just jump right back. Perhaps some of his symptoms are from the anesthesia. I remember my dogs were tired and didn't move much the first night and next day but once the sluggishness of anesthesia had worn off they were acting like nothing had happened. We hate to see our babies in pain and I remember feeling intense guilt that I had put them through that pain but it really is for the best. Both of my girls had to have a few baby teeth pulled and that is much easier to do at the same time. Your boy would have had to go through anesthesia again if they hadn't done it now. You won't have to worry so much when he is playing at the dog park with other males now that he is fixed. He won't even remember any of this in a few days. I wish a speedy recovery to your little guy. He is so adorable!!

Het there. I just wanted to let ya know that you can give him a Baby Asprin as well if he's really painful. Alot of the time with boys (and especially with little ones) it's more about the stitches/ incision that they are uncomfortable with. Like when he extends his tummy, it tugs at it alittle. If you want, you can even put some Neosporin on it. And it was good that they did everything at the same time too.

Hi all,
Hi Shandoggy Smokie is much better now thank you. Hi Barratt You were right! His pain and discomforted seems to have completely subsided now. Thank you I think he is adorable too! I will try and add some newer pics of him if I can! Hi Dixiestar. Thank you soo much for the tips, although I didnt really get a chance to try it. I dont know if we get neosporin here in the UK. I havent heard of it. Thank you to all of you for all the support you gave me. I really really appreciate it. It really helped me deal with the guilt etc. I spentmost of the time praying to god asking him to pass over my little ones pain and discomfort to me - the result is... I know have a rash! |
